Pauline's Story

The Soviet mass deportations of Latvians took place on June 14, 1941 and March 25, 1949. More than 57,000 people, including small children and the elderly, were shoved into cattle wagons and deported to Siberia.
In 1957, the deported could start to return to Latvia. This continued until 1961, when more than 31,000 of
survivors were freed.
Some people are said to have come home on foot.
Therefore, we decided to create a movie.
