A lyrical fairy tale about survival through imagination.
This experimental montage weaves together drawings, paintings, and animated fragments from the development of Hungry Street. It offers a first glimpse into the film’s visual world: the gray streets of Riga colliding with Arbūza Sēkliņa’s vibrant fantasies — a bat as her companion, a hungry cobblestone street, and the promise of a golden dragon. The montage captures the poetic tension at the heart of the project: between poverty and play, melancholy and wonder, survival and escape.
