SKETCHES OF OLD DEATH

Long before the first rehearsal I began to dream Old Death into reality - her flamboyant, baroque style, her mannerisms, her elegance, her relationships with the visible world.

After all, it was a way to remember the most turbulent period in my life : I studied contemporary art in Normandie, France, I was about to enter my graduation year, I had just discovered my first baby was on it's way, I had broken up with the father because of the fact he didn't want to become a father and then I met Monsieur Pierre, a World War II survivor octogenarian, my landlord.

Now all there was to do, was to transform Monsieur Pierre into a lady. The Lady Death.
